Storing & Handling Research Peptides

Peptides are delicate. Correct storage protects their integrity from the moment they arrive to long after reconstitution.

Before reconstitution (lyophilized)

Keep the freeze-dried powder frozen at around −20 °C, away from light and moisture. In this state peptides are stable for extended periods.

After reconstitution

  • Refrigerate at 2–8 °C.
  • Protect from light.
  • Avoid freeze–thaw cycles — they degrade peptide structure.
  • Never shake; swirl gently.
  • Use within the period appropriate to your compound (commonly up to ~4 weeks).

Good practice

Label every vial with date and concentration, keep your workspace clean, and use sterile technique at every step.
